Related Services

Related servicesinclude counseling, occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech-language services. These services are provided to a student with a disability when required for the student to benefit from his/her educational program. Related services are provided by appropriately certified and/or licensed professionals as specified in the student’s IEP.

Transportation

Transportation is provided in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6A:27-5.1. The Region III Council for Special Education coordinates the transportation of special education students placed by their local child study teams.

Speech-Language Services

Speech-Language Services are provided to eligible special education students in Region III by a certified speech-language specialist as defined in N.J.A.C. 6A:14-1.3.

Occupational and Physical Therapy Services

Occupational and Physical Therapy Services are provided to eligible special education in Region III by certified personnel employed by Region III.

Social Skills Counselors

Social Skills Counselors conduct after-school groups for eligible students as determined by the local child study team in Region III.

Summer Programs

Summer Programs are coordinated by Region III with eligibility determined by the local child study team. Students ages 3-21 are eligible.
